Faith: April 2021
“A diamond is a chunk of coal that did well under pressure,” is a saying I heard when I was younger. I remember running home, grabbing some charcoal by our fireplace and squeezing it as hard as I could. The piece of charcoal exploded, sending black dust everywhere and making a mess. I looked down into my hand and there was no diamond. As we talk about faith this month I thought about how much our faith can be like that lump of coal. When our faith comes under pressure it can help us grow closer to God or start to crumble to dust. We’ve all met adults who went through something difficult and used it as an opportunity to grow even closer to God. That’s what we want for every child in that we teach. Our theme for April is Faith.
FAITH is living like you believe God’s promises are true.
Throughout this month your students will be setting resolutions and working towards keeping them. What resolutions could you set for this month to help you grow in your faith?
